Welcome to my blog! As an educator and lifelong learner, I just can’t help myself. I want to teach — not preach — about practical tips for communicating in all manner of organizations. I also get a kick out of learning and sharing about word usage.
I come to this with over 20 years experience as a professional communicator and academic. I have traveled a road through traditional journalism, nonprofit staff work, government and corporate communications and academia interspersed with stints as a freelancer. That’s where I am today, as an independent writer, editor and public relations consultant helping small businesses navigate new technology and new modes of communicating.
So please join me in making good “sense” out of communicating well. I’ll start by giving you my “2 cents” worth and I look forward to hearing yours. Feel free to post your questions and I’ll do my best to answer them or find someone who can.
